Details: Year Groups 4, 5 & 6 - These courses will help the children to develop a wide range of cricket techniques and all sessions include a range of warm ups, skills and games, designed for both beginners and experienced cricketers. This is very much the ignition stage for young cricketers - giving them the spark for a lifelong love of the game. Our courses form part of the Surrey County Cricket Club performance pathway in which talented players will be identified and fed into the various performance programmes. This course may use hard balls for some of the activities and so if your child has their own protective equipment this should be brought along because it is not provided. The full list of protective equipment is a batting helmet, pads, gloves and an abdominal protector. A thigh pad is also recommended but this is not essential. If your child has their own cricket bat, they are welcome to bring this to the course. If your child does not have their own protective equipment, they will still be able to take part in the programme in full. There is a one week break during the course and there will be no coaching on Sunday 12th February.
