This premium-level course offers individualised coaching in small-group sessions, focused entirely on each player’s unique needs, goals, and ambitions.

Programme Structure:
Block One (September – December):
Players complete an initial assessment and begin working through their Personal Development Plan (PDP) created in collaboration with their coach. Weekly sessions are tailored around the group’s skill needs – covering batting, bowling, fielding and game intelligence, diving into high-performance learning and technique refinement.

Block Two (January – March):
Players revisit core skills, but with a deeper, more technical focus. This is where practice turns into mastery, and where progress is measured as players prepare to enter the 2026 season more confident, capable, and competitive than ever before.

Note: This course is scheduled to take place over eleven weeks with an end date of 14th December. This said, there will be ten weeks of coaching. There is NO SESSION on the 26th October.

Sharpen Up: Essential coaching programme is tailored for young cricketers in School years 6 to 9 who are serious about unlocking their full potential.

Following on from 'Level Up', this 8-week off-season course offers focused, small-group coaching (1:5) where every session is built around detailed, personalised skill development for all of our players. The off-season is the best time for real development, where players can focus on specific skills and knowledge growth. That's exactly what Sharpen Up is here to do.

Each week, Surrey Cricket Foundation Coaches will dive deep into a different cricketing discipline, from batting and bowling to fielding and tactical awareness, offering tools and insight for our players to become well-rounded, game-ready cricketers.

Block One (September – December):
Each week covers a different skill area – from batting and bowling to fielding and game awareness. These sessions are all about building strong foundations, discovering new strengths, and enhancing skill knowledge and ability. Players develop all-around skills, learning top-level techniques, with coaches able to give 1-on-1 attention in every session.

Block Two (January – March):
Revisit and refine. Players return to the same core topics, this time taking their learning further – practising with more precision, gaining a deeper understanding of technique, and locking in their progress. It’s about mastering the details and building confidence ahead of the 2026 season.
