The Surrey Invitational Programme is aimed at players that have been identified as players with potential. Those that are eligible to take place would have received an email directly from the Performance Team.
We will be running a two stage programme for these players starting with 10 weeks of training in the Winter, followed by match play and training in the Summer.
This booking is for the Winter part of the programme only. The Summer booking will be out by the end of January.

Year Groups 7, 8 & 9 - This course will help the players progress personal and team skills. The sessions will provide the players with physical development, the improvement of cricket specific skills, exposure to a wide range of experiences and competitive opportunities. These include some net coaching, fielding sessions and conditioned games to develop both technique and tactical awareness.
Our courses form part of the Surrey County Cricket Club performance pathway in which talented players will be identified and fed into the various performance programmes.
As this course will be delivered using hard balls, protective equipment is required and this is not provided.
The full list of protective equipment is a batting helmet, pads, gloves and an abdominal protector. A thigh pad is also recommended but this is not essential. If your child has their own cricket bat, please could this be brought along.
There is a one week break during the course and there will be no coaching on Sunday 12th February.

Year Groups 2 & 3 - This course will give the children a fun experience of cricket. The hour long sessions involve basic skills and techniques for cricket and lots of fun games using a soft ball throughout. The aim of these courses is to attract children to playing regular cricket and to develop fundamental movement skills (agility, balance, coordination and speed).
Our courses form part of the Surrey County Cricket Club performance pathway in which talented players will be identified and fed into the various performance programmes.
There is a one week break during the course and there will be no coaching on Sunday 12th February.

Year Groups 10 & 11 - This course will concentrate on conversion to adult cricket - looking to further progress the technical and tactical knowledge of the players. Coaching methods focus on learning advanced skills specific to match play - these sessions will require a level of self-evaluation from the players throughout the course.
