Unfortunately, the Ken Barrington Centre (KBC) at The Oval is now unavailable for bookings until the
summer of 2025. The KBC will be undergoing renovations as part of a wider project to improve the
Bedser Stand facilities available for the professional teams. We will be increasing the capacity of
the KBC to four lanes as well as improving the changing rooms and the shower facilities.
These works are integral to ensuring that we have the best changing and training facilities for
Surrey men's and women's teams who will both be operating out of The Kia Oval in 2025.

They also act as an ideal opportunity for parents to escape for some last-minute Christmas shopping! The session is aimed at all abilities and will cover a range of skills and small-sided games aimed at developing skills and maximising enjoyment! This course may use hard balls for some of the activities so if your child has their own protective equipment this should be brought along because it is not provided. The full list of protective equipment is a batting helmet, pads, gloves and a box. A thigh pad is also recommended but this is not essential. If your child has their own cricket bat, they are welcome to bring this to the course.
If your child does not have their own protective equipment, they will still be able to take part in the programme in full.
Please note: the use of hard balls will be dependent on the abilities of the participants on the day. The decision will be at the discretion of the lead coach.
